About the Role
Carry out financial advisory activities from acquiring new clients, service introduction, present comprehensive financial plan, or modular plan, i.e., wealth accumulation, wealth protection and wealth transfer, monitor financial plan implementation and maintain a good relationship with client throughout engagement for more business opportunities and growth generation while maintaining and complying to standard practice requirements sets by regulators and Wealth Vantage Advisory Sdn Bhd.
License maintenance
Responsible for ensuring the fulfillment of every license requirement as per stated by the regulator/issuer.
Participate in event or training to keep abreast of industrial trends or practice and maintain license requirement (event that provide CPE or CPD points)
Capital Market Services Representative License (CMSRL) – Securities Commission (SC)
Financial Advisor Representative License (FAR) – Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)
Unit Trust Scheme Consultant (UTC) – Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM)
Private Retirement Scheme Consultant (PRC) – FIMM
Goal Setting and Performance Alignment
Projecting and reviewing overall and product/service based gross and nett income targets and critical success factors on yearly basis
Attending and reviewing performance and alignment on details of critical success activities with the Sales Department.
Identify development activities or assistance required (technical or non-technical) other than schedule developments to successfully achieve performance and growth targets.
Prospecting and Branding
Planning and executing a prospecting and individual branding activities to attract potential client. i.e.:
Set up booth in financial related event/ expo or in third party office etc.
Consistent social media activities, post and share content, comment on related content from others, etc.
Appear in financial related talk event, live shows, etc.
Getting recommendations from existing clients following the guidance sets by the Sales department.
Attending to potential clients provided by the firm in a timely and fully prepared manner as per guidance sets by the Sales Department, if provided with potential client from the firm.
Asking relevant questions to discover potential client pain point; identifying client’s requirements and needs and responding to client accordingly to trigger interest for further meet up and engagement.
Building relationship with potential client and present the firm’s service and product offering in detail.
Sales Activities
Performing financial advisor roles and increasing sales revenue for financial planning and advisory services focusing on comprehensive financial planning, modular financial planning (i.e., wealth accumulation, wealth protection, wealth transfer), Financial health check or any need-based product (i.e., specific investment, insurance, and estate planning product)
Fulfilling compulsory sales meetings from the Discovery sessions and Introduction of Services to potential clients followed by the Fact Finding, Present Solutions, Implementation to the Review meeting and ensuring all meeting’s objectives are met.
Attending any subsequent meeting that is required to address client’s inquiries, to complete pending sales requirement or to assist client in financial plan implementation whenever necessary.
Responsible to keep updated client base at all times.
Carrying out related activities in every sales phase to deliver better client’s experience throughout the client’s engagement. This includes ADASDA
Pre-sales
Providing complete instruction, information and supporting document (wherever necessary) to the supporting structure to support on necessary meeting set up or preparation of necessary documents or forms.
Ensuring required documents is prepared accordingly prior to any sales meeting Strategizing and customizing the way of presenting to clients in the way that client understand the point of presentation. During-Sales.
Ensuring the meeting is properly conducted, online or face to face and run within the allocated time while achieving every objective.
Providing guidance on onboarding process for the client.
Engaging with client to understand and record client’s financial circumstances, risk profile, financial goals and any other information needed to develop respective financial plan or proceed with respective client’s engagement.
Explaining financial plan and any recommendation in detail for client to fully understand the objectives, outcome to be achieved and any associated risk for every decision.
Getting recommendation from client as per guidance set by sales department.
During-Sales
Ensuring the meeting is properly conducted, online or face to face and run within the allocated time while achieving every objective.
Providing guidance on onboarding process for the client.

Post-Sales
Carrying out after-sales process in coordination with supporting structure requirements to ensure seamless and timely sales processing and submission as well as subsequent meeting is conducted according to the proposed plan.
Continuously monitoring client’s engagement, answering inquiries from clients, addressing issues and proactively following-up communication with clients to complete any pending sales requirement.
Updating the supporting structure on any changes to a client’s circumstances that may affect ongoing financial plan implementation.
Providing excellent after-sales services and maintaining a good relationship with clients to ensure more business opportunities.
Sales Campaign
Facilitate special engagement offered by the firms to clients within the campaign period set by Sales Department.
In coordination with the sales department, business operation support and shared services to ensure every engagement under any campaign is recorded and remunerated accordingly.
Legal Compliance
Ensures conducted activities is in compliance with the license regulations and company policies.
Maintaining updated knowledge of regulations and standard practices.
Advisor Development
Attending all compulsory learning and development in WVASB either for competency, performance and licensing purposes - technical, non-technical, and coaching/ mentoring) development programs.
Constantly doing research and update industry knowledge and learn about new products and services by attending product and services update by firm or engaged provider.
Business partnering
Involve in company or business branding and marketing activities and events.
Build/ strengthen relationships and contribute knowledge and expertise in company stakeholders’ engagement events.
Involve and presenting oneself as ambassador of the Company in recruitment drives ie. external talks – financial and nonfinancial institutions, universities, career fairs, non-profits organizations, and etc.
Contribute ideas for the growth of WVA business operations and strategies during WVA strategic and annual planning and conventions/ symposiums.
Promote WVA culture and actively participating in the company engagement activities ie. sports day, annual dinner, annual trip, etc.
Requirements
Qualification
Certified Financial Planner, CFP
Registered Financial Planner, RFP
Bachelor's degree in any filed (preferred in Finance related)
Skills/ Competencies
A good understanding of the financial planning activities and products (i.e., investment, insurance, wasiat/will, debt management, etc.)
Possess analytical skills and good in mathematical/ statistical knowledge is an added advantage.
Proven experience as financial planner or similar role; experience in sales or customer service is an advantage.
Ambitious, business-minded, and enthusiastic to build career in financial planning industries.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with good interpersonal skills and ability to foster long-term relationship.
High ethical values, with customer-oriented attitude and willing to help others achieve their financial goals.
Independent, result oriented, willing to learn new things and able adapt to changes.
Proficient in Microsoft Documents and Google Work set up is an added advantage.
